Introduction - Who am I
Welcome to my blog!
Here I will be posting weekly on various topics relating to one of my college modules "Digital Economy".
Let's start with the basics!
Who am I?
Such a simple and mundane question, yet so much more than meets the eye. When I think of who am I, I inevitably think that I am a caring, enthusiastic, honest, independent, clumsy, strong yet sensitive human being. I don't necessarily think of myself as a soon-to-be business graduate, an auditor, an accountant or a barista, because this is not who I am, or at least this is NOT ALL I am or can be.
To the question what am I?
Well, to this question I can only answer as of today. As of today, I am a full-time college student, making my way through my last year of a four years business course at SETU in Waterford. I work part-time as a barista in a cafe. I love baking and cooking. I like coffee and I like reading. I love travelling and visiting new places and I love meeting new people.
But enough about me, let's get into my experience working with information systems!
As part of my degree at SETU, I have undergone a six month internship with PwC working in their assurance department in their Waterford office.
In my first Digital Economy class, we talked about the vast variety of information systems out there that businesses use to run their every day to day work. At PwC, I used many different information systems such as Aura Platinum, iPower, Connect, and Confirmations.com, just to name some.
Throughout my time at PwC, I was heavily trained to use all of these platforms. At PwC, all these systems were used on a daily basis to store large amount of data and confidential client information.

- Aura Platinum

- Connect
This is what the platform looks like.
- Confirmations.com
...and that is all for my first blog post!
I hope you enjoyed getting to know me and found the small insight on the information systems interesting.
Share the blog with someone who would like to learn about my experience with PwC!

Have a good week, and I hope to see you back next week for more content!
